The third step is to write the date when you first placed the yogurt in the freezer. If you want to do long term storage, you should only store the yogurt for as long as one month in the freezer if it is unsweetened. Flavored yogurt, on the other hand, can be stored for as long as five months.

Fourth, after taking out the yogurt from the freezer after a month or five, transfer the containers to the refrigerator and let it remain there for about 12 to 24 hours before thawing the yogurt. Make sure that you avoid thawing the yogurt on the countertop.

Fifth, you can take out the yogurt after letting it stay in the fridge. Make sure to stir the thawed yogurt before eating it.

(1) Combine about two and a half cups of unsweetened plain yogurt with the fruit of your choice. Add either sugar or honey.

(2) Store it in the fridge for about two hours.

(3) Pour the frozen yogurt mixture in the drum of an ice cream freezer.

(4) Freeze the yogurt according to directions designed for the churning of ice cream.

(5) You can either store your frozen yogurt for up to one month or serve it as a dessert.
